Mike Ashenfelder

I joined the Library of Congress in 2002. I write about digital topics in relation to libraries and archives, personal digital archiving, and preservation of -- and access to -- digital collections. I also produce public information videos and podcasts. Before joining the Library of Congress, I worked in Silicon Valley as a technical writer. I also wrote for the Whole Earth Review, the Millennium Whole Earth Catalog and Warner New Media and I produced a Bay Area world-music TV show. I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education from the Berklee College of Music and a Masters in Music History from San Francisco State University.
