Looking Up the Old Law Library – Pic of the Week

Share this post:

Before the move to the Madison Building, the Law Library of Congress used to be located in the Jefferson Building. Andrew and I wandered over there yesterday to try and find where it used to be.

The luck of the Irish must have been with us, because we managed to find the most wonderful tour guide yesterday: Everett E. Larson, the head of reference for the Hispanic Reading Room, who worked in the Law Library years ago. We took a lot of pictures while we were there, but one of our favorites was of the ceiling of the old Law Library’s administrative office.

  1. Cool!

  2. I think we should remodel and put this over my desk.
