Next Stop, Capitol South – Pic of the Week

I took this week’s picture as I exited the Capitol South Metro station on my way to work on Wednesday.  As you can see from this shot, the Madison Building is just under a block’s walking distance from the station entrance.  You can also see the cloudy skies – the weather was quite dreary with gray skies, rain and wind.  It is on days like these that I’m glad the Library is less than one block away!

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA, commonly referred to as Metro) first opened the station on July 1, 1977.  Today, it provides service for the Blue and Orange Lines.
