Acting Register of Copyrights Appointed

The Library has appointed an acting Register of Copyrights (that is, head of the U.S. Copyright Office), Maria Pallante, beginning Jan. 1, 2011.

    Alice Sunshine and I (and I am sure many other people who knew Maria during her time with the National Writers Union) send our best wishes and congratulations to Maria. She’s an expert on intellectual property and a wonderful person as well.
