One More Month of “I Love Lucy”

Share this post:

Have you been to the Madison Building yet to see the Library’s “I Love Lucy: An American Legend” exhibit? Local readers, you have exactly one month to plan a trip over here! The exhibit opened last August to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary as well as Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday and will remain open to the public until January 28, 2012. The exhibit includes photographs, scripts, newspaper clippings and more archival material from the Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball Collection. Read more about the exhibit in curator Ray White’s blog post from last August. It’s been a joy to walk through the exhibit on a daily basis and see visitors of all ages enjoying our series of clips from the “I Love Lucy” show — yesterday I happened to catch a four year-old staring intently at the screen as he explained the scene to his mother! I’ll miss hearing the laughter after the exhibit closes next month – hope to see more of you before then!

And to those of you unable to see the exhibit in person, please note that you can always visit the “I Love Lucy: An American Legacy” online exhibit!
