LIVE: Exciting Book Festival Details Coming Your Way

When we introduced the Main Stage at last year’s Library of Congress National Book Festival, we didn’t know exactly what to expect.

Sure, every year we invite engaging, award-winning authors from all walks of life and genres to present at this free festival, and year after year many authors face capacity crowds. But when people showed up in droves to fill the 2,500 capacity Main Stage seating (our largest ever) to hear from the top six blockbuster festival authors throughout the day—while also turning out to hear from more than 100 popular authors featured in other stages all day long and into the night—we knew we were onto something.

So, the Main Stage is back along with an incredible author lineup for the 2017 festival on Sept. 2! For news this good, the host wants to tell you personally. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden will be joined by Ron Charles of the Washington Post to reveal this year’s Main Stage author lineup via Facebook Live on Monday, June 12, at 7 p.m. ET!

Tune in for this first-ever live festival announcement to learn about the 2017 festival authors and to find out about new ways to experience, connect with, and support the Library of Congress National Book Festival in-person and on-line.
