Book and baseball lovers are invited to join for Library of Congress Day at the Nationals on Wednesday, Aug. 2, when the Washington Nationals take on the Milwaukee Brewers at 1:05 p.m.
You won’t want to miss the first pitch thrown by our very own Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden and lots of fun highlights of the 2023 National Book Festival. Plus, don’t miss a featured interview with the Librarian of Congress on Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) during the game.
And of course, don’t forget to mark your calendars for the festival. The 2023 Library of Congress National Book Festival will take place on Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the festival is free and open to everyone. Attendees will hear conversations that reflect their lived experiences and stories, with presentations for every type of reader. The festival’s theme, “Everyone Has a Story,” celebrates the storyteller in us all. The complete author lineup and schedule can be found at loc.gov/bookfest.
