Meg Medina, 8th National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, invites you to join a special one-on-one session as part of her Cuéntame! Let’s Talk Books platform. This is her third time hosting office hours.

Meg Medina shares books by previous National Ambassadors for Young People’s Literature with a visiting family.

In your 20-minute “Meet Meg Medina!” session, you can expect to talk about your favorite books, ask your burning questions about writing and the writing process and experience a master book talker connect your passions to books you may enjoy. Medina will share her favorite Library of Congress resources, which can boost your curiosity and at-home creativity. Families can also explore the Young Reader’s Center and Programs Lab, a dedicated kids’ space with activities based on Library collections.

Meg Medina took pictures with each family that visited her at the Family Office Hours.

Cuéntame! Let’s Talk Books is inspired by the phrase Spanish-speaking friends and families use to catch up with one another and its primary goal is to encourage connection amongst classrooms, libraries, and communities by talking about books—books that reflect readers’ lives and books that expose readers to new perspectives.
