This is a guest post by Mike Fila, public affairs specialist at the Library of Congress.

The Library is in the home stretch before the National Book Festival—but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. We’re headed to the ballpark tonight for Library Night at Nationals Park, when Washington, D.C.’s home team takes on the Miami Marlins.

The Nationals are a longtime partner of the Library—in addition to being a stalwart supporter of the National Book Festival, we have collaborated on youth literacy programs, exhibits and our recent baseball-themed Family Day.

Today, the team will highlight our signature annual event with activations throughout the evening, including a local author shoutout to kick off the game. National Book Festival authors who will be recognized on the field are Maika Moulite and Mariutza Moulite!

Look for Library representatives in 2025 National Book Festival gear, and if you miss the game, don’t forget to join us for the National Book Festival.
