Arlene Balkansky has been a reference librarian in the Serial and Government Publications Division for over a decade. Her recent work includes choosing original newspapers for the Library of Congress exhibition, "Echoes of the Great War: American Experiences of World War I." Prior to her focus on serial publications, she was a senior cataloger in the Library’s Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division.
