This post is by Colleen Gardina, Engineering Specialist in the Science & Business Reading Room.
Technical reports first gained importance during World War II and emerged as a major tool for reporting progress in science and technology. The Library of Congress holds one of the world’s largest collections of technical reports, but accessing them can seem overwhelming. For an overview of the library’s technical reports collection, the tools available to search for reports, and some ways you can access the collection, please join Science Section staff for our upcoming webinar, where we will introduce the Library’s technical reports collection. The webinar will take place Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 12p.m. EDT. The event is free, but you will need to register in advance to attend.
