CAPTION: Recto and verso of the Gandhara scroll’s main fragments. The digitized scroll reflects the number, orientation, and order of the fragments upon its unrolling, treatment, and preservation in glass casing. The three smaller pieces should be rotated 180 degrees in order to read the scroll. Upon finishing the recto, the scribe would have flipped the scroll vertically to continue writing on the back.
