The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress is pleased to announce the appointment of Costica Bradatan as Distinguished Visiting Scholar.
Costica Bradatan is Paul Whitfield Horn Distinguished Professor of Humanities in the Honors College at Texas Tech University, USA, and an Honorary Research Professor of Philosophy at University of Queensland, Australia. He has also held faculty appointments at Cornell University, Miami University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and University of Notre Dame, as well as at universities in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Bradatan is the author and editor of more than a dozen books, including “Dying for Ideas. The Dangerous Lives of the Philosophers” (Bloomsbury Academic, 2015) and “In Praise of Failure. Four Lessons in Humility” (Harvard University Press, 2023).
He also writes book reviews, essays, and op-ed pieces for such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post, Times Literary Supplement, Literary Review, Aeon, and Commonweal.
