Tribute to a K Class Act — Pic of the Week

Share this post:

This week’s Pic of the Week is in honor of Marie Whited and her retirement from the Law Library.  This past summer, Marie received the American Association of Law Libraries highest honor, the Marian Gould Gallagher Distinguished Service Award.  She is best known for her subject work with the Library of Congress Classification for Law, the K Class.

Everyone at the Law Library and I wish her a healthy and happy retirement as she settles into civilian life in her home state of Maine.

  1. Marie was my law cataloging mentor. She taught me so much. I will always really appreciate her generosity at sharing what she knows as well as her fabulous sense of humor. I’m so glad that she’s back in her beloved Maine, but I will really, really miss her.

  2. bravo vous défender une cause honorable
