Join Us for “Perspectives on Brexit,” a Webinar on January 23rd at 2pm

The Law Library of Congress is excited to bring you a new series of webinars focused on foreign and comparative law. Our foreign legal specialists cover 267 jurisdictions around the world, providing Congress with expert advice in the form of foreign law reports as well as testimony before Congress, and we are pleased to bring their depth of knowledge and expertise to you through a new series of webinars.

Our first webinar is titled “Perspectives on Brexit” and provides an overview of the EU and UK perspectives on Brexit, including the UK legal and political actions for Brexit, the Benn Act, the Withdrawal Agreement, article 50 of the Treaty on the European Union, post-Brexit payments, and the future EU-UK relationship.

This webinar will be presented by Clare Feikert-Ahalt and Elin Hofverberg.

Clare holds a bachelor’s degree in law and international relations from the University of Lincoln, England, and a Master of Laws in international legal studies from American University.

Elin holds a Master of Laws in international and comparative law from The George Washington University Law School and a JD Equivalent (Juris kandidatexamen (Jur. Kand)/Master of Laws) from Uppsala University, Sweden. She is a member of the New York Bar.
