Last month, Robert and Margaret each shared information about the committee transcripts added to Congress.gov in the first and second set of enhancements respectively. Since Margaret’s post, we have added transcripts for the 107th, 108th, and 109th Congresses bringing the total up to ten Congresses for this new collection.
With this month’s release, we have added a VIDEO icon to search results for committee meetings that include a video. The Share/Save toolbar also has an updated, streamlined look. This is a quick way for you subscribe to various Congress.gov email alerts, share information to Facebook or Twitter, or provide us with feedback on the website.
The ReadSpeaker Listen button is now included for the new collections added to the site, committee prints (example), and committee transcripts (example). Just click “Listen to this page” to hear the text. This feature is also available for the summary and text of legislation, the Congressional Record Daily Digest, Committee Reports, and on Help pages.
The behind-the-scenes work that took place this development cycle included preparing our Help Section to be searchable. This was first shared during the Congress.gov Virtual Public Forum that you can now watch.
