In November 2021, Andrew brought us news of appropriation email alerts, allowing you to receive an email each time new appropriation measures are considered by Congress. In December 2021, Margaret mentioned that the Congress.gov team added content for the Bound Congressional Record dating all the way back to 1899.

Since so much important work in Congress is undertaken in committees, with this month’s release we are excited to bring you committee hearing transcripts dating back to the 103rd Congress (1993). When a committee meeting has a transcript available, you will see “transcript available” to the right of the title of the meeting in your search results. We have also added a “no results” message when you perform a search that produces no results, so you know that you need to edit your search terms, and the message offers tips on how to improve your search.

An example of the Committee Hearings with transcripts, where available, will have "transcript available" to the right of the title.
Committee meeting transcripts are available on Congress.gov dating back to the 103rd Congress (1993).
