We have been hard at work with our data partners on modernizing how we get the data for Congress.gov. Cassidy has shared recently about the work we have done on executive communications and nominations. Rohit also shared about the Congressional Globe and its modernization.
With this release, we are continuing to make progress on the Congressional Globe and have added a Debates of Congress Help page.

This release’s enhancements to Congress.gov include:
Enhancement – Debates of Congress – Search
- Search Debates of Congress page headings from the search bar by selecting Congressional Record before entering your search terms.
- Open the Debates of Congress Edition filter to narrow your results to the Congressional Record Daily or Bound edition, Annals of Congress or Congressional Globe.

Enhancement – Congress.gov API – Member Endpoint
When using the Congress.gov API, you can filter Members by state, district, and current Member status. We encourage users to use the API’s change log to track progress on this refinement.
Congress.gov Tip
The Century of Lawmaking website is being retired. If you go to the site now you will see that the site will be retired on June 30. At that time, the link will redirect to this Century of Lawmaking collection page. We will continue to work to improve the Century of Lawmaking content on Congress.gov where we are integrating this historic content with the modern legislative data.
