Volunteer for a Congress.gov User Interview

Share this post:

The following is a guest post by Kristen Davis, a Design Division Chief  in the Office of  the Chief Information Officer.

The Congress.gov website team is always working to improve the site. The team applies a user-centered design approach that actively involves users at every stage.

To support this effort, the team is looking for 7-10 people who would be willing to participate in a 60-minute virtual individual interview session during the weeks of October 20 and 27, 2025.

During the interview session, the Congress.gov website team’s user experience (UX) designers will observe how the individual uses Congress.gov as well as other tools or websites to complete various tasks. We will ask questions throughout to gather more details about how the tools/sites support their needs (or do not).

To get the best results, the team is looking for a mix of interviewees who have:

  • Varied job roles/reasons for using Congress.gov
  • Varied demographics, such as age, education, race/ethnicity, sex/gender
  • Experience using Congress.gov

If you are interested in participating, send an email to [email protected] with your name, email address, and whether or not you are a government employee.
