Upcoming US Law Webinars – January 2026

Share this post:

We hope you will join us in this new year for the continuation of our U.S. law webinars for 2026. The next offering of our Orientation to Legal Research webinars, focusing on U.S. federal statutes, will be followed by an Orientation to Law Library Collections webinar. It will cover digital resources available on the Law Library’s website as well as those available on-site. During this webinar, a guest presentation from the Pennsylvania State Law Library staff will be featured as part of the 50 State Outreach Project.

The presenters from the Pennsylvania State Law Library, librarians Kevin Spangenberg and Loren Nocheck, had this to say about their state library:

[t]he Bureau of the State Library traces its historic roots to 1745, when the General Assembly requested that its Clerk, Benjamin Franklin, order a set of the English Statutes and some maps for reference use. It has grown to one of the largest collections of materials about Pennsylvania and serves the information and research needs of all branches of the State Government. As a statewide resource center and law library, the State Library provides residents with Pennsylvania State and U.S. Government Documents, print materials, digitized collections, online reference services, and automated resources. Rapid access to other state and national collections is available through online systems, networks, interlibrary cooperation, and databases. The Rare Collections Library includes the Provincial Assembly Collection, a historic collection of rare colonial imprints, and the largest collection of Pennsylvania newspapers in the world.

We hope you will join us for these informative and interesting webinars!
