AUTHOR: Bailey DeSimone

Bailey DeSimone is a Visual Information Specialist with the Global Legal Research Division. She currently creates data analyses, visualizations, and infographics to enhance the accessibility of legal reports. Previously, she was a Library Technician (Metadata) in the Digital Resources Division of the Law Library of Congress, where she managed metadata for the digitization of the United States Congressional Serial Set, developed workflow documentation and reference materials, and published her collection research in In Custodia Legis. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degrees in History and Global Studies with a German minor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she held her first library role at the Louis Round Wilson Special Collections Library. Bailey has studied in Berlin, Germany, and toured the European Union headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and excitedly promoted accessible information about systems of law and governance across the world. Outside of the Library, she enjoys exploring the city’s bike trails, experimental baking recipes, and working on no fewer than 10 unfinished art projects at any given time.
