Laney Zhang

Laney Zhang joined the Law Library of Congress in 2007 as the Chinese law specialist. At the Law Library, she has authored reports on a wide range of topics on the laws of mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center and an adjunct faculty member at Shanghai Jiaotong University Law School. Laney graduated from Duke Law School with an LL.M. degree and did her post-graduate research at Columbia Law School. She also holds an LL.B. and a Master in Jurisprudence degree from Nanjing University Law School. Laney enjoys working in the world’s largest library — one of her favorite tasks here is to maintain the Library’s Chinese law collections. In her spare time, Laney loves doing yoga and Tai Chi.
