Nearly one year ago, the Music Division happily welcomed Tony Award-winning composer and orchestrator Jason Robert Brown to the Library of Congress. He came to perform and talk about his own music with special guest Shoshana Bean on December 9, 2016 as a part of the Library’s concert series, but we were also fortunate to have Senior Music Specialist Mark Horowitz record an interview with Brown earlier that day. And lucky for all of us – we can listen back to that interview, Brown’s entire performance, and a post-concert Q&A with just a click of the mouse!

For your convenience, use this blog post to click through to each video and enjoy the performance as well as the inside look into his creative process:

You can read about Brown’s experience visiting and performing at the Library of Congress in his own blog post published last year just after the event. Enjoy his music and insights, all of you musical theater enthusiasts!
