Consider a trip for your troop to the Library of Congress National Book Festival to hear from popular authors and illustrators, get books signed and take part in fun activities. Then, mark the experience with the 2015 festival patch.

Join book lovers of all ages on Sept. 5, 2015, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., to celebrate books and reading. This year’s line-up of children’s and teens authors includes Kwame Alexander, Cece Bell, Phillip Hoose, Sonia Manzano, Shelia P. Moses, Jon Scieszka and many more! There’s also a Picture Books pavilion, a presentation featuring “A Book That Shaped Me” and Letters About Literature student essay contest winners, and a pavilion to discover more about the Library of Congress.

Order the patch online before the festival (http://library-of-congress-shop.myshopify.com/products/national-book-festival-scout-patch) or purchase it on-site the day of, and let your scouts proudly show off their attendance at this memorable event.
