REMINDER: Popular author Stephen King will open the Main Stage of the 2016 Library of Congress National Book Festival on Sept. 24 with a presentation and recognition of his lifelong work promoting literacy. Tickets will be required for the King presentation.

Tickets will be free and will be issued electronically beginning at 9 a.m. EDT Sept. 14 by visiting a special ticketing page. They’re expected to go fast, so make sure you’re ready to act. And if you can’t make it, don’t worry — this and most other festival presentations will be available after the event on our website.

Tickets are not required for other presentations or activities at the festival. Here’s more on Mr. King’s presentation. And he’ll be joined by more than 120 other authors! Here’s the complete schedule.
