2018 Festival Videos Now Available

Dozens of author presentations and panels from the 2018 Library of Congress National Book Festival are now online and available for viewing on our website!

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

Were you onsite in Washington on September 1 and couldn’t be in two places at once? Or maybe you weren’t able to join us this year. Or perhaps you’d like to recapture the experience of seeing your favorite author once again.

Whatever the case, you can settle in and enjoy hours of talks and presentations by authors of many genres: history and biography, science, fiction, graphic novels, children’s books, young adult readers, poetry and contemporary issues.

Re-live the special day last month, or experience this celebration of readers and reading for the first time. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the 2019 National Book Festival, Saturday, August 31!

The 2019 Library of Congress National Book Festival, which is free for everyone, will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, Aug. 31. The festival is made possible by the generosity of sponsors. You too can support the festival by making a gift now.
