Again, Free Braille Music Scores

Share this post:

This is the second post announcing the availability of free braille scores.

The response to our first offer was good, but modest. So, in this post, not only are we offering a larger number of titles, but we are also trying to encourage more requests.

These are scores that have been received over the years as gifts from individuals, libraries and braille producers.  They are duplicates of titles already held in the music collection.

The scores are free for the asking and will be sent, to anyone, via Free Matter for the Blind, on a first-come-first-served basis.

This actually includes those who might not qualify for our regular services because of geographical location or citizenship. So let nothing hold you back.

Whoever you are or wherever you are, if you can use some free braille music we are trying to offer what you need or want.

The list of currently available scores can be found at this linkThe link takes you to an updated Excel spreadsheet that has about 80 titles.

To claim your choices, please email the Music Section at [email protected] putting “Braille Music Offer” in the subject line. Identify your selection by control number or composer/title. Please provide complete name and address.

This second offer has more titles than the first, and we have gone beyond piano to include vocal works and one organ work.

We will add more titles and more instruments. We have many hundreds of titles to offer. But you, reader, can help us in selecting new titles to add to the list by letting us know what you might want. Tell us your instrument preference, composer preference, or even some particular pieces. You can do this by emailing us at [email protected]. Please.

We welcome your responses and comments. We need your comments and feedback.
