Free Braille Music Offer: September

Share this post:

It’s back!

Yes, we are still giving away braille music (we have a lot of it) that we have received as gifts over the years. We are hoping to update these lists on a more regular basis. So check back periodically for a new list, or better yet–subscribe!

There are more than 100 scores in the new list. These are scores that have been received over the years as gifts from individuals, libraries and braille producers.  They are duplicates of titles already held in the NLS music collection.

The scores are free for the asking and will be sent, to anyone, via Free Matter for the Blind, on a first-come-first-served basis. This includes people who may not regularly qualify for our services, including those who live overseas and/or are non-citizens.

The list of currently available scores can be found at this link. There are two versions of the list on this web page: a text version and an Excel spreadsheet version.

To claim your choices, please email the Music Section at [email protected] putting “Braille Music Offer” in the subject line.

Please identify your selection(s) by the 5-digit number that is at the end of each book description. Please also provide your complete name and address so that we can get the scores to you.

The list is mainly piano, although there are some other interesting instruments in there!

We want to thank those who have given us feedback and suggestions regarding these offerings. And we invite further feedback. Just email us at [email protected].

Let us know any comments or suggestions! Happy practicing!
