New BARD Additions: June 2024

Share this post:

Happy Summer from the NLS Music Section! We have many new additions to BARD (Braille Audio Reading Download), which are ready to be downloaded and enjoyed on any smart device!

In our audio collection, we have added more lessons from Bill Brown, including “by-ear” piano instruction selections by Yiruma and music from the motion picture series “Twilight.” For guitar players, we’ve acquired another Lou Gramm Band song, “Willing to Forgive,” also taught by Bill Brown without the use of musical notation!

There are also many braille selections that were recently added to BARD. This includes the Quintet for piano, 2 violins, viola, and cello in F minor, op. 34, by Johannes Brahms, and the solo piano part to Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 3, op. 37 in C minor. If you are looking to even more Beethoven, we’ve added bar over bar editions of his Piano Sonatas 1, 5, 6, and 9. Finally, we recently uploaded a wonderful choral work by Benjamin Britten, Rejoice in the Lamb, for treble, alto, tenor and bass soloists, choir and organ.

All materials listed below are also available to borrow by mail, as well as being downloadable through BARD. Please contact the Music Section to borrow talking books on digital cartridge or to check out embossed copies of braille music. Please call us at 1-800-424-8567, ext. 2, or e-mail us at [email protected], and we will be happy to assist you!
