New BARD Additions: September 2025

Share this post:

Greetings from the NLS Music Section! As we enter the Fall season and get ready for the month of October, we are proud to present our latest audio and braille additions to BARD (Braille Audio Reading Download).

We’re back with more Bill Brown lessons on piano and guitar! For pianists, he will teach you how to play the “Ozdust Duet” from the film version of “Wicked,” and the beloved song “The Rainbow Connection” from “The Muppet Movie.” Guitarists will be able to learn fingerstyle solos to “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and “Killing me Softly.”

Our braille patrons will be thrilled with our wide variety of music that is now available on BARD. We’ve added several of the preludes from the opus 32 set by Sergei Rachmaninoff, as well as a piano transcription of Maurice Ravel’s “La Valse.” Picking up from last month, we are continuing to add titles from the “Celebration Series: Perspectives” from the Royal College of Music piano library. Finally, with the Winter holiday season right around the corner, we’ve added two collections of Christmas carols.

You can also borrow materials below by mail, not only through BARD. Simply contact the Music Section to borrow talking books on digital cartridge or embossed copies of braille music. Call us at 1-800-424-8567, ext. 2, or e-mail us at [email protected].
