New BARD Additions: September 2020

Greetings from the NLS Music Section! During the month of September, the NLS Music Section made the following talking books and braille music available to download from BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download).

We’re very pleased to announce that the Music Section has added lectures and other programs from the Library of Congress Music Division to its collection of Music Appreciation talking books. You can now listen to fascinating programs about the history of jazz and American musical theater, among other topics. Our new braille music materials this month include volume 5 of the Bärenreiter Urtext Edition of J.S. Bach’s complete organ works; Mozart’s sonatas for violin and piano; J.S. Bach’s French Suites; mazurkas by Chopin; and piano lesson books from the Bastien Piano Library.
