It’s time to get frozen!  Or, at least, ready for winter.  There’s a chill in the air, why not come and see some cool movies?

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2022 @ 7:30pm

Sky Pilot (First National, 1921)

King Vidor directed this snowbound film about a preacher  (a “sky pilot”) who helps Colleen Moore walk again after a tragic accident.  Shot, with an abundance of white stuff, in Truckee, California.  The film is silent and will be presented with live musical accompaniment by Andrew Simpson.  (B&W, 77 minutes)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2022 @ 2pm

Frozen (Walt Disney, 2013)

Not one but two Disney princesses AND a talking snowman!!  Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” is re-imagined featuring a fine cast of voice actors including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad.  Throw in some good animation, great songs and you have another Disney Classic.  Let yourself go…to the movies! (Color, 102 minutes)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2002 @ 7:30pm

The Revenant (20th Century-Fox, 2015)

Left out in the cold by his fur trading “friends,” Leonard DiCaprio fights the elements and a bear.  Survival and vengeance are both on his mind.  DiCaprio won an Oscar for this role; his first in his long, distinguished career.  Also featured in the film are:  Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, Lukas Haas and one very angry bear.  (Color, 156 minutes)
