Don’t go near the water!  Or, actually, on second thought, DO!  We’ve got two ocean-related films for you to kick of the month of July.

“Free Willy” (1993)

Saturday, July 1, 2023 @ 2pm

“Free Willy” (Warner Bros., 1993)

A young orphan boy befriends a whale recently put into captivity.  The two become friends and the young boy hatches a plot to give the whale its freedom, even though, by doing so, he will have to say farewell to his new friend.  (Color, 112 minutes)

“Jaws” (1975)

Saturday, July 1, 2023 @ 7:30pm

“Jaws” (Universal, 1975)

The Packard Campus Theater’s annual showing of “Jaws” to fully welcome in summer.   The water is still safe, or is it?   The boat may need to be a bit bigger, but the cast–Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfus–is just right.  (Color, 124 minutes; added to the National Film Registry in 2001.)

To learn more about this film, see this link.

Please note:  The theater is closed the last weekend of May for Memorial Day; the first weekend of June for the AES Conference and the second weekend of June for electrical maintenance.
