A charming thief (Chris Pine) and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. The first film adaptation of Rafael Sabatini’s classic novel was also the swansong of Vitagraph, the last of the pioneer studios. Early silent film hero J. Warren Kerrigan stars along with resident Vitagraph leading actress Jean Paige in this 2018 reconstruction, which features the original color tinting and shots missing since the 1930s.
