Many of you are aware that the Library hosted an online conference at the end of October, and we appreciate those who took time from their busy schedules to join us. If you missed a session, you can still view the recordings here. As happens sometimes, one session experienced considerable technical difficulties, so we’re offering an an encore presentation on December 14 at 4 pm ET. To join us, please register here: http://www.loc.gov/teachers/professionaldevelopment/webinar/.
Join Sherry Levitt, executive director of Teaching with Primary Sources, Northern Virginia (TPSNVA), for “One Year in the Life of America.” Here’s what to expect:
By gathering and analyzing primary sources from the Library of Congress, students can explore real-world problems and challenges that prompt questioning, inquiry and research. This presentation will model an approach that promotes these skills by focusing on select events from a particular year in history.
We hope that you’ll join the live conversation, but if not, the recording is now available.
Individuals requiring accommodations for this event are requested to submit a request at least five business days in advance by contacting (202) 707-6362 or [email protected].
