The Educational Outreach Division of the Library of Congress is seeking applications from current world history or world geography teachers for a Teacher-in-Residence position during the 2017-18 school year. Details about the position and application are available here.
Each Teacher-in-Residence term is shaped by both the individual and the needs of the institution. In a blog post last year, Tom Bober, one of the Library’s 2015-16 Teachers-in-Residence, reflected on his experience:
I’ve had incredible collaborative relationships where the give and take of ideas has pushed me to give birth to new thinking. It has helped me to gain a deep and rich knowledge of students’ use of primary sources. My thinking has evolved in ways that I couldn’t have predicted.
