The Library’s education specialists are excited to go to Philadelphia for the annual conference of the National Council for the Social Studies December 2 and 3. You can find us at several events during the conference.
Teaching with Primary Sources partners and regional grant recipients will present posters on the Reg Bridge West on the 200 level of the Pennsylvania Convention Center on December 2, from 10-11am. Learn more about partners’ programs, lesson plans, professional development activities, and other materials they have created using the Library’s resources. Stop in for coffee or tea and leave with materials you’ll be able to use with your students both in person and online.
On Saturday, December 3, from 11:10am to -12:10 p.m., join “Information Literacy and Primary Sources from the Library of Congress” in Convention Center room 202A. Apply information literacy skills including evaluating claims and evidence, identifying bias, and comparing information sources to Library of Congress primary sources.
Stop by exhibit hall booth 249 on December 2 and 3 to learn about the Library’s upcoming onsite summer teacher workshops, new teacher resources, the Teaching with Primary Sources internship, and the latest collections available online, including resources from the Law Library.
