Teaching with the Library Blog Posts

Several posts from this blog highlight different ways that women have shaped society. The posts featured here include strategies for using primary sources as well as notable and engaging items from the Library’s collections.

Classroom Materials

Primary source sets and presentations are curated groupings of primary sources about a topic or theme and include supports for teaching. Primary source sets include teaching ideas and a background essay. The presentation offers analysis questions that teachers can use to help their students engage with sources featured in the set.

Library-wide Resources

A previous exhibit as well as two digital collections are excellent resources for learning about aspects of the Women’s suffrage campaign. And Chronicling America offers two guides to help readers locate a sampling of historical newspaper articles related to Women’s History Month and Women’s Studies.
