The Library of Congress is seeking our next Innovator in Residence to start in September 2024! We will fund an individual up to $90,000 per year for a maximum of two years to do research with Library of Congress collections, produce a creative and transformative digital work for the American people, and serve as an ambassador for the Library. This is a mostly remote residency experience that can be designed around your schedule. It’s pretty amazing! You can review the program page for the full run-down of the opportunity.
Those interested in applying are asked to submit a concept paper detailing their envisioned research and work by March 5th, 2pm EST. The digital work(s) could tell an engaging story and prompt deeper inquiry, demonstrate a new method of discovering Library items, or present free-to-use items and tools to enable creative remixing and reuse. Digital mediums that can be experienced through a web browser are preferred, such as web applications, visualizations, and multimedia works. All concepts should enable communities to experience meaningful connections with the Library’s materials.
Register on the program page for one of our informational webinars to get a walk through of the application process.

Hi! The link for “program page” doesn’t work. At least not for me. I’m not sure if the link is broken or it’s my end, but I figured I would say something in case others receive an error as well. Thanks!
Thanks Alyx! Should be fixed now.
Would someone be so kind as to explain exactly what it is this position will be doing?
Sincerely,
Shawna
