Isabel Brador joins the Digital Strategy Directorate as a a program specialist with the Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI), part of the Library’s Mellon-funded Of the People: Widening the Path program. Prior to joining the Library, Isabel served as the assistant director of Digital Experiences at the Wolfsonian–Florida International University, where she carried out the museum’s digital strategy. As Assistant Director, she focused on increasing online access to the museum’s digital collections and boosting their discoverability. She led the development of the museum’s online exhibition program and in-gallery and web interactives and steered the museum’s migration of its digital collections to a new platform. In addition to her work in museum tech, Isabel managed the museum’s graduate assistant program, The Metadata Squad, and served on the museum’s DEAI committee. She is passionate about public access to cultural heritage collections and is eager to amplify the voices of CCDI grantees and support the discovery and re-use of the Library’s digital collections. She holds a Masters in Arts in Public History, with a focus in Museum Studies.
