AUTHOR: Kate Phillips
Kate Phillips is a reference librarian in the Prints & Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. She has worked extensively in the fields of both photojournalism and special collections librarianship, including positions at Magnum Photos and the Vermont Historical Society, before joining the Library. Kate has a particular interest in the role of images in everyday life, whether in shaping our understanding of the daily news or through the more subtle influence of the design and iconography of printed ephemera.
