AUTHOR: Kristi Finefield
Kristi Finefield is a reference specialist in the Prints & Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. She holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., and a master's in library science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Since learning in high school how to use a darkroom to print her own photos, she has been fascinated by all aspects of photography. Her undergraduate studies reinforced and developed her love of architectural design and the visual arts. Kristi’s interest in visual literacy came into focus while working at the Library where she enjoys guiding researchers through the Library’s vast collections. She has loved libraries since she got her first public library card at the age of four.
