AUTHOR: Megan Zins

Megan Zins first joined the Library in 2022 as a temporary employee in order to work on a long-term research project in the Preservation Research and Testing Division. She is now a permanent employee in the division as a Preservation Technician. In this role, Megan continues to carry out long term research supporting the preservation of cultural heritage material in addition to shorter-term projects that focus on analyzing the materiality of the Library’s own collection. Prior to working at the Library, Megan worked as an NEH Intern of Paintings Conservation at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Megan earned her B.A. studying Chemistry and Art History at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, focusing on light-induced degradation of dyes and pigments. It should come as no surprise that Megan enjoys reading and creating her own art in her spare time.
