AUTHOR: Jan Grenci

Jan Grenci was a reference specialist in the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from Seton Hill College and a master’s in art history from the George Washington University. Her love of posters began in childhood, with the “Hang on Baby, Friday’s Coming” cat poster that hung in her bedroom. Jan retired from the Library in May 2024 after 34 years of service.
