AUTHOR: Abraham Parrish
Abraham Kaleo Parrish joined the Library of Congress Geography and Map Division as a Geospatial Data Visualization Librarian in 2023. He holds a bachelor’s in Fine Art from the University of Northern Colorado and a dual masters in Geography and Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Professionally, Abraham has served in the U.S. Army for 4 years as an Intelligence Analyst with two tours in Bosnia and Hercegovina, as well as a GIS Librarian at the American Geographical Society Library for 3 years, Yale University Library Map Department for 14 years, and University of Miami Library for 8 years. Abraham is originally from Hawaii and enjoys cooking, biking, hiking, and martial arts.
