AUTHOR: Tracee Haupt
Tracee Haupt is a librarian (digital collection specialist) in the Digital Content Management section at the Library of Congress. She is a member of the Web Archiving Team, which works to capture, preserve and provide access to the Library’s growing collection of web archives. After joining the team in 2021, Tracee began a project to analyze data related to the permissions process for archiving websites and recommended changes that will improve the Library’s ability to archive nominated content and make the collections more accessible to the public. Tracee is an alumna of the Library’s Junior Fellowship program, having previously worked with the John W. Kluge Center on a project involving public outreach and alumni engagement. While taking courses for a master of library science and master's in history at the University of Maryland, she supplemented her education with hands-on experience at the Special Collections and University Archives, the Smithsonian, Bunk History, the Theodore Roosevelt Digital Library and the History Factory.
