AUTHOR: Liah Caravalho
Liah Caravalho worked at the Law Library of Congress from 2005 - 2017. She served as a program specialist in the Law Library’s Office of Legislative and External Relations, where she planned and coordinated events and other outreach initiatives. She also served as project manager for the Library of Congress Literacy Awards Program at the Center for the Book. Prior to joining the Law Library, she worked as an outreach and public programs presenter at a science museum, where she interpreted science exhibitions and traveled to local public schools with a portable planetarium, space suit and live animals to inspire young children about science. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, reading and exploring the plethora of cultural heritage institutions and restaurants in the D.C. area. Liah received her B.A. in Ancient Studies from Mount Holyoke College and a certificate in Event Management from The George Washington University.
