AUTHOR: Donna Scanlon
Donna Scanlon joined the Library of Congress Science, Technology and Business Division as a business reference specialist in 2009. She holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Woodbury University in California, and a Masters degree in Library Information Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She worked for companies in the entertainment and high tech industries until 2002, when, after volunteering in a public library, she decided to make a career change and become a librarian. Prior to coming to the Library of Congress, she worked in a community college library providing reference service to students and faculty and in a public library, where she worked closely with the young adult/teen librarian, assuming responsibility for the teen blog. For the last 2 years, she has also been a volunteer with the Internet Public Library.
