AUTHOR: Colleen Smith
Colleen Call Smith is an Educational Resources Specialist at the Library of Congress. She writes and develops classroom materials for teachers that feature the Library’s vast collection of digitized primary sources. Colleen also supports the Library’s professional development and outreach programs for educators. Prior to joining the Library, Colleen worked at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian where she developed digital resources to support teaching and learning about Native Americans in K-12 classrooms. Colleen started her professional career in the classroom with a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. She taught middle and high school social studies in Kentucky, her home state, and later Virginia.
